Ken is a self-taught painter who lives year-round in Port Clyde, Maine. Inspiration is everywhere; tall evergreens, ocean wildlife, working waterfronts and picturesque lighthouses. Working from his home studio, he explores various themes and ideas in his paintings and drawings; from still-life to portraiture, landscapes, traditional marine pieces and more. His aim is to make art that is timeless, attractive and captivating.

 

Ken grew up in West-Hartford, Connecticut. After high-school, he received a degree in Film Production from Boston University. Upon graduation, he moved to Los Angeles and spent the better part of the '90s in the world of post-production as a film editor of television commercials. New England called him back, and he returned, finally indulging his passion for art and painting. He is now a full-time painter and resident of the beautiful state of Maine.
